Senior DevOps Engineer (NYC)

International Logic Systems, Inc. (ILS) is a government contractor located in Washington, DC area. A CMMI Level (3), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 27001 organization, ILS provides integrated services and flexible solutions to federal, state, and local agencies and private institutions. ILS is looking for a dedicated Senior DevOps Enginner to support a large-scale project. 

The Senior DevOps Enginner role is based in New York City and may involve on-site visits to the client’s location within the city. While the current work arrangement is HYBRID (remote work from home or at the ILS Headquarters in Fairfax, VA), applicants should only apply if they are willing and able to travel to the client site in New York City as needed.

Drive automation, deployment, and optimization of Windows Server and IIS-based environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud-based solutions to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for Windows Server and IIS environments.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, ARM templates, and other IaC tools.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and system reliability.
• Implement best practices for DevOps, security, and cloud governance.

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud engineering.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and IIS configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD), pipelines, and repositories.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, YAML, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AzureMonitor, App Insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Azure Functions, or other cloud automation tools.
