Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect/Lead Java Full-Stack Engineer to drive the technical vision and execution of enterprise-level software solutions for impactful federal projects. This role blends deep hands-on full-stack development expertise with architectural leadership, cross-team collaboration, and effective stakeholder communication.

As the Team Lead and Point of Contact (POC), you’ll serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical authority, guiding the end-to-end delivery of cloud-based, scalable, and secure applications in an Agile environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead development teams and serve as the primary technical POC for the project.
  • Define and drive architecture, design, and development of modern full-stack solutions.
  • Act as the bridge between enterprise architecture, business teams, and application development.
  • Identify and resolve performance and integration issues early in the lifecycle.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of all project milestones, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and quality metrics.
  • Create and deliver presentations and technical documentation to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, DevOps, and enterprise system teams.

Qualifications

 

Required Skill Sets

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience & Expertise:
    • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java full-stack development.
    • Strong experience working with business users and technical teams.
    • Expert in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
    • Proficient in frontend technologies including Angular, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Experience with AWS cloud services and containerized deployments using Docker.
    • Skilled in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins for automated pipelines.
    • Strong command of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
    • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, software engineering principles, and test-driven development (TDD).

 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with build and automation tools: Maven, Gradle, Git, SoapUI, JMeter.
  • Prior experience with government, financial, or insurance systems is a plus.
